Is This Television Any Good?
i was thinking about returning my samsung 26″lcd for it. it is a sony KDF-37H1000 rear projection tv. it is a refurb but i liked the price of only $750. is this television any good.
I bought a RVP tv from the internet.
Fairly expensive, but it’s worked well and never broken down. It’s high definition, and crystal clear! Sound isn’t half bad at all. At one point I got a short, but that was because of the dust from my 10 year old carpet.
I’ve had it for 4000 hours on, there’s 10000 hours in my lamp life. About $200-400 AU for a new lamp. Depends on how much you use TV, I’m a heavy user, like 12 hours a day at least.. and I’ve had it for almost a year. I expect 2.5 years before a new lamp. Some people can go for 5 years!
Mine has never broke down, even when we did the wrong things to it e.g. not properly turning it off, moving while on, etc.
The fact that it’s a refurb could be bad. As long as you have some warrenty.
The benefit of the lamp is that it never looses quality. Everything in the TV can be changed so there is no degrade.
5 lamps = 50 000 hours, that’s a typical TV lifespan. I really love the Tv, and it’s size and brightness.
