Sony Bravia LCD tv is not connecting to PC, need help please?
Before I had a 32″ Samsung LCD and I had it connected to my laptop via VGA. It was working fine and everything and when I recently bought a 52″ Sony Bravia KDL-52v5100 it doesn’t seem to work. My knowledge of computers only go to a certain extent. I’ve tried changing my resolution, turning off my laptop, turning it back on, turning the tv off and on and I’ve messed with the resolutions back and forth and the display settings and I’m still out of luck. The TV isn’t seeing any connection to the “PC”. Please help and THANK YOU in advance! and feel free to ask any questions about the specifications of any of my video card and what not
To tony, i have the VGA connected from the laptop to the tv, the computer isnt picking up anything from the PC. Dont have a manual, but thanks, ill check with the esupport
1. Do you have it on “PC” input?
2. Is you computer set to output to the tv? (right clicking on desktop, then going around the options will get you there, should show the dimensions for your tv, etc.)
3. Are all your connections tight?
4. HAVE you read the manual for more information?
5. This is the link for sony’s “esupport” and should help you troubleshoot and at worst, provide you with a customer service number for more information. http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-home.pl?XID=M:products:crmportal&LOC=3&mdl=KDL52V5100
6. Good luck!
